Starting a Business

Hello my Bright and Happy People! Today we are going to be talking about starting a business. Starting a business can be tough. I know - I've been involved with/started several of them. There are so many articles out there teaching you how to do it that you can get overwhelmed and end up not taking the first step. There are so many steps and methods you can take that it is hard to know which one to start with. As many entrepreneurs make a point of mentioning - and the courses/conferences make a point of avoiding - there is no such thing as a formula to starting a business. There is no "right" way. I have seen many people stumble into being a business owner without even knowing that they were a part of the business world. There are so many ways to create your own business. There are also many ways to be an entrepreneur without running your own business. I want to encourage you to keep your eyes open for times you can sharpen and use your skills. There are too many times those skills are needed to not have entrepreneurial skills. Let me give you some examples of what being an entrepreneur can look like.

-If you are a mom, you definitely have the skills of an entrepreneur.

-If you run the PTA meetings for your child's school, you have entrepreneurial skills.

-If you are a manager or in a supervisor position, you have entrepreneurial skills.

-If you are an Etsy seller, you are a business owner.

-If you have your own blog, you are a business owner.

-If you are an employee but you come up with a better system than what is in place presently, you have entrepreneur skills.

There are so many opportunities to develop your entrepreneurial muscle and there are too many situations where you will need them. Make sure that you don't stifle any chance you get to flex, develop, and work that muscle. Have a Bright and Happy day and don't forget to smile!
